I still remember the instance which inspired me to write this article. It was a cozy Sunday morning and I asked my little niece to tell me the time. She came running and replied “The time is between 9 and 10 am. Yes, I was confused, and so I asked her again, to which she replied that she can’t read the clock. It was her innocence that inspired me to draw some blank templates of clock faces to teach her how to read time. The following templates are just the manifestation of the efforts that I have taken to teach her how to read analog clocks.

Blank Templates for Teaching
The following worksheet consists of several blank clock faces for teaching purposes and time telling games in schools. They are ideally suitable for home schoolers. Two different time telling exercises can be performed on these clock faces:
- Teachers can give these clock faces with random time mentioned in the boxes placed below each, and ask kids to draw the proper minute and hour hands of the clock.
- Teachers can draw minute and arm hands on the clock faces, and ask kids to identify and mention the proper time in minute:hour format.
Roman Numeral Clock Faces
The above exercises can also be extended to the following clocks with roman numerals. Nowadays the trend is gradually shifting towards wall clocks with stylish roman numerals and that is the reason I added the following templates to my collection. They can be used to help children in reading clocks to the nearest minute.
Clock Faces Without Numbers
The following faces without numbers are designed so that, in addition to measuring time activities, kids can also learn the proper positioning of numbers on a clock. After a few successful exercises with the following images, your child might become the smartest and fastest time telling kid on the block. Along with clock reading, these exercises will also help your kids excel in subjects like mathematics.
Colored Clock Faces
To make time telling more fun for children, following colorful clock faces can be used, since it’s hard to make kids focus on a single activity for a long time. For instance, my niece loves to draw pictures of her favorite Disney characters on the clock faces I gave her.
Custom Clock Faces
The following graphical clock faces worksheet is designed using different color and pattern gradients. They can serve the purpose for those of you who are looking for designer clock faces to make your own clocks and watches or for other decoration purposes. They can be used as clip arts, or you can use your imagination to create your own custom clock dials.
